Forests Monitor Charitable Trust
The work of Forests Monitor Charitable Trust is complementary to that of Forests Monitor Ltd. Its activities include research, public education and outreach concerning the use of timber and its effects on forests and the people that depend on them for their livelihoods.
The Trust's goals are to:
promote the conservation of forests worldwide, including the protection of the environmental goods and services provided by forests;
raise public awareness of the effects of logging and deforestation on the natural environment and on forest dependent peoples;
undertake research on the environmental and social effects of deforestation.
Forests Monitor Charitable Trust has been a registered charity since June 2003 (Registration number 1097779).
